Custom Art Commissions and Services

Our `Halifax calligraphy` studio is proud to offer bespoke art commissions. These `terms and conditions` outline the process for custom artwork, ensuring a collaborative and rewarding experience for both artist and client.

Commission Process and Design Approval:

  • Initial Consultation: All custom commissions begin with a detailed consultation to understand your vision, requirements, and timeline.
  • Design Proposal: We will provide a design proposal and preliminary sketches for your review. Two rounds of minor revisions are included in the initial quote. Additional revisions may incur extra charges.
  • Approval: Final design approval is required in writing before work commences. Subsequent changes may result in additional fees and extended timelines.

Payment and Intellectual Property:

  • Payment Schedule: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total estimated cost is required upon design approval to begin work. The remaining 50% is due upon completion and before delivery.
  • Intellectual Property: All intellectual property rights for custom artwork remain with Inkwell Angler unless explicitly agreed upon in a separate written agreement. Clients receive a license for personal display and use. Commercial reproduction or resale requires prior written consent and may incur additional licensing fees.

Delivery and Completion:

  • Timeline: An estimated completion date will be provided during the consultation. While we strive to meet these, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays.
  • Delivery: Finished artwork can be collected from our `Halifax` studio or shipped at the client's expense. All shipments are insured.
